The investigators met Coombes again when they arrived in [[Carcosa]], which had apparently been brought to Earth by the writings of [[Alexander Roby]]. The apparent death of his former employer and the strange city itself appear to have rendered Coombes quite insane. An associate of Lawrence Bacon, named by Delia Morrison. Coombes was apparently a dangerous man, and he fits the description of the Tall Man.
The investigators met Coombes again when they arrived in Carcosa, which had apparently been brought to Earth by the writings of Alexander Roby. The apparent death of his former employer and the strange city itself appear to have rendered Coombes quite insane. As the invetigators made to leave Carcosa, Coombes attacked, provoking a knife fight with Andrew Saunders.
Coombes is assumed to be dead, having presumably been shot by Yolanda. In any case he is trapped in Carcosa, wherever that may now be.
