According to [[Dr Lionel Trollope]], 'The Walker by the Lake' is a book published by [[Alexander Roby]]. Filled with strange poetic allusion, and with some passages in German, it is from this book that Trollope was reading, Roby reciting the text alongside him, when he had a vision of his own death, a vision that proved accurate.
