Carolo is Roberto Anzalone's graduate student and is travelling on the expedition with Anzalone, Malcolm Quarrie and Major Ricardo Delnegro.
His diary (Part 1,Part 2,Part 3,Translation Part 1, Translation Part 2), discovered in the Nepalese village of Kag, shows a great mental deterioration after reaching Drakmar. According to reports from Te he had returned alone from Drakmar, claiming his companions had been 'taken by ghosts' and was being nursed to health by the monks.
When the investigators reached the Monastery at Te they came under fire from Schippone, who wounded their guide before Withers put a bullet through his brain from long range. It was discovered that Schippone had killed the monks and had been living alone in the Monastery for many weeks.
