According to Dr Lionel Trollope, 'The Walker by the Lake' is a book published by Alexander Roby. Filled with strange poetic allusion, and with some passages in German, it is from this book that Trollope was reading, Roby reciting the text alongside him, when he had a vision of his own death, a vision that proved accurate.
